Program: Tyndall Glacier + Blue Lake
Activity Level: Active

These four days of paddling will be unforgettable. You will see waterfalls, Balmaceda Glacier, and Blue Lake which is a color blue that you will only find at the foot of glaciers.

Day 1: Puerto Natales - Rio Serrano

We will leave in our truck for the sector of Rio Serrano closest to Puerto Natales, in Torres del Paine National Park. We will board our kayaks and row until we reach a beautiful waterfall, where we will get out and take a short walk (about 200 meters) carrying our kayaks, avoiding the waterfall. Shortly after this we will arrive at a marvelous lake where we will row to Glacier Tyndall. If the wind permits, we will navigate across the lake to a beach to take in an amazing view of how Patagonia is still unaltered. At this point we will set up camp for dinner.

Day 2: Rio Tyndall - Glacier Tyndall

Today we will start out very early towards the Glacier Tyndall wall which is more than 12,000 years old. Just before lunch we will arrive at the glacier wall and spend some time admiring the vastness of it. Later, we will return to Rio Tyndall and cruise along with the current until we reach Rio Serrano where we stop and set up our camp.

Day 3: Blue Lake

The next day we will navigate to the mouth of Blue River, here we will stop for lunch. After lunch we will paddle upstream along the river until we reach Blue Lake. After enjoying the unique views of the lake we will return to the mouth of Blue River to set up camp.

Day 4: Puerto Toro - Puerto Natales

In the morning we continue our trip towards Puerto Toro. We will start out on Rio Serrano and stop to walk around 35 minutes to see Serrano Glacier at the foot of Mount Balmaceda in Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. Upon returning to our kayaks, we will load them onto a boat (21 de Mayo) that will take us to Puerto Natales. Before arriving we will stop at a typical Chilean farmhouse for lunch. After this we will continue by motorboat to Puerto Natales.

* Please bear in mind that from the beginning to the end of the kayak trip the itinerary may have to be modified owing, of course, to the famous Patagonian wind.

* A Torres del Paine pick-up is also offered as an extension to any of the trekking trips.
